Lines

  1. Line 1, yang (nine)

  2. Line 2, yang (nine)

Dragon appearing in the field; it furthers one to see the great person. Talent becomes visible: seek mentors and sponsors.

  3. Line 3, yang (nine)

Creatively active all day, alert at nightfall—danger, no blame. Rapid growth stays safe through discipline.

  4. Line 4, yang (nine)

Perhaps leaping, perhaps staying in the deep—no blame. A genuine decision point: judge strength and timing honestly.

  5. Line 5, yang (nine)

Flying dragon in the heavens; it furthers one to see the great person. Position matches merit—now attract and elevate talent.

  6. Line 6, yang (nine)

Arrogant dragon will have regret. The peak is the turning point: beware hubris and over-extension.

A flight of dragons without a head—good fortune. Distributed leadership: many capable leaders, none dominating.

In the enterprise

The hexagram of vision and leadership: setting ambition, launching ventures, defining the leader's role. The six lines trace a complete growth curve—latency, emergence, diligence, decision, peak, overreach—so an organisation can locate itself on it.

Psychological lens

Resonates with self-efficacy (Bandura) and growth mindset; the top line names the 'hubris syndrome'—the distortions of judgement that follow success.
